Dogs at Tiona, pet friendly holidays

Meet Lucy. Tiona’s number one four-legged advocate and our best mate.

Hey fellow furballs!

It’s your local tail-wagger, Lucy, here with the scoop on the most epic doggy holiday ever at Tiona Holiday Park. Guess what? Every single day is a pet-friendly paw-ty! We’ve got classic cabins, beachside villas, and even treehouse tents – all pet-approved. Camping sites? Yep, lakeside or beachside, where we can paddleboard, take sandy strolls, or chill by the campfire. Plus, did I mention the cafe and pool overlooking Wallis Lake? It’s like paradise for us!

Beat you to the Beach!

Get ready to feel the sand between your paws! Blueys Beach and Sandbar Beach at Smiths Lake are our doggy havens from 5 am-9 am and 5 pm-8 pm, as is my personal favourite local beach – Boomerang Beach! Its off-leash fun galore! During the quiet season, you’ll find me out at Boat Beach at Seal Rocks, and I don’t mind spending the afternoon at One Mile Beach in Forster either!

My best of the best though, is Nine Mile Beach – we can run wild from dawn to dusk north of the Beach Street access track.

Speaking of Nine Mile Beach….

Doggie Delights

After a morning of adventures, Mum usually wants a coffee or some lunch – lucky for her, Kembali Café at Blueys Beach lets us join in the fun with great outside seating! Tartt Café & Beach Bums Café in Forster, or Plunge Café after our One Mile Beach romp are also great picks; and all the smells!

Lucy’s Top Doggo Picks for Fun

I’m a bit of an adventurer – what Aussie isn’t! Walks, beaches and cafes only keep me occupied so long – I love being able to meet other puppers and their owners while enjoying the live music at Tiona or the Great Lakes Paddocks! And if you get the chance, head up to Ellenborough Falls, or take your owner to quench their thirst at the Coastal Brewery in Forster (rain or shine. And for my water-loving pals, I’m learning to paddle board! Come splash around with me – Wallis Lake at Tiona is super shallow, and clear water (which Mum loves – no mud to drag inside!).

Ok, I’m a bit of a princess….

If I do need a bath – a trip to Scotty’s Pet Barn is in order! As well as having a great range of tasty treats, their dog wash makes me feel like I’ve just spent the day at the spa (and no muddy paw prints!).

While the adventures are fun, sometimes I need a babysitter – you know, if Mum wants a quiet dinner in town, or decides to go walking the local National Parks tracks. I love having Mammamia Pet Sitting look after me – they stay with me at my home or if I’m in the park, and spoil me more than Mum does! And if something happens (like that time my brother got bitten by a tick – yuk! – Sweetpea Vets & Rescue Centre give top-notch attention. They also have puppers like us, who are looking for a forever home…. I’ll convince Mum to say yes one day, but you might have more luck!

Welcome!

Listen up, bark brigade! I’m happy to share my backyard, but you have to stay safe! Stick to the on and off-lead areas so you don’t get in trouble, make sure mum or dad scoop the poop (it’s the doggy way!), and keep your tick protection up to date. Let’s keep our paradise pristine and pawsitively amazing.

So, fellow furballs, what are you waiting for? I can’t wait to meet you, and maybe have a run around together at one of the beautiful beaches, splash in the lake or just chill!  See you soon, tails high and tongues out! 🐾
