Find Your Space
There are places you visit — and then there are places that stay with you.
Tiona is one of those places.
Set between the rolling surf of Seven Mile Beach and the calm waters of Wallis Lake on the NSW Mid North Coast, Tiona Holiday Park is more than accommodation. It’s a nature-based escape shaped by ocean breezes, towering palms, golden sunsets, campfire conversations, barefoot mornings, and the simple joy of slowing down.
For generations, people have arrived at Tiona searching for something they didn’t quite realise they needed — space to reconnect, to breathe deeper, to gather with loved ones, or to disappear quietly into nature for a while.
And somehow, Tiona always seems to meet them there.
A Place With Deep Roots
The name Tiona has long been associated with peace, connection, and natural beauty. Dating back over a century, the area became a place where people gathered amongst the palms and beside the lake to share in community, simplicity, and the outdoors.
As written by former Tiona Chairman J.D. Imrie in 1974:
“Tiona” became synonymous with sunshine, lush greenery, mountains, lakes and sunsets, ocean and broad golden sands, cool breezes and starry nights — a veritable Pacific paradise.
That spirit still lives here today.
Since the first reunion gathering held amongst seventy tents in 1923, Tiona has continued evolving while remaining deeply connected to its surroundings. Through changing decades, new cabins, weddings, campfires, road trips, family holidays, and generations of returning guests, one thing has always remained constant: the feeling people leave with after spending time here.
Calmer. Lighter. More connected.

Nature Shapes Everything Here
Our philosophy is simple: every guest comes here searching for something different.
Some are looking for a space to play.
Some are looking for a space to rest.
Some come to reconnect with family and friends.
Others come to escape the noise entirely.
Tiona exists to give people the freedom to experience nature in their own way.
That’s why the park has been designed with spaces within spaces — beachside energy, lakeside calm, quiet forest pockets, gathering spaces, camp kitchens, open skies, walking trails, and moments of solitude all coexisting naturally together.
We don’t try to compete with the environment around us. We work alongside it. The palms, the lake, the dunes, the ocean, and the bushland shape the experience just as much as we do.
A Different Kind of Holiday Park
Tiona has never been about packed rows and crowded spaces.
Our guests are drawn here because they value openness, nature, and authenticity. They are campers who love National Parks but appreciate hot showers and a good coffee in the morning. They are dog owners searching for somewhere their four-legged family members are genuinely welcome. They are surfers, families, couples, wedding guests, road trippers, and long-time regulars who return year after year because nowhere else quite feels the same.
What makes Tiona unique is the contrast of experiences available from one location:
- Sunrise over Seven Mile Beach
- Sunset drinks beside Wallis Lake
- Calm, shallow waters perfect for families
- Surf breaks just moments away
- Rainforest-like surrounds filled with palms and birdlife
- Campfires during the cooler months
- Pet-friendly stays 365 days a year
- Space to gather — and space to disappear
It’s relaxed, unpolished in the best possible way, and deeply connected to the landscape around it.
